The vicious Aerith-bashing in some corners of the fandom drives me crazy because it's pointless - by the end of the game, the poor girl has lost everything, including her life. Two years later, she's not only come to grips with her situation but dives into battle to assist her friends. She heals Cloud twice and sends him back to Tifa; if she was truly as obsessed/possessive/ebil as some fans seem to think, she would've tried to keep him with her at the end of AC/ACC, because she had the ability and the opportunity - but she didn't.

Very well-written, and very thought-provoking.

Well done!
