while going through some of my old things in packing (and I mean really, really old) I came across something a friend from high school had given me (I mentioned this was old, right?). And had to inflict.
Take the Star Trek: Next Generation quiz and find out... well, how many of the old cliches you remember.
While heading for:
A. a mining colony in the Alpha system
B. treaty negotiations on Deneb 3
C. certain destruction at the hands of the Ferrengi
the Enterprise is disabled by:
A. malfunctioning warp engines.

C. an engineering experiment gone sadly awry.
While Geordi works against the clock to:
A. repair the damage,
B. unlock the frozen command codes,
C. figure out why he wears a banana clip on his face,
the ship is surrounded by:

C. a certain air of disrepute.
One the bridge, counselor Troi senses:
A. sentient life on the alien ship
B. that the aliens aren't telling the whole truth
C. a disturbance in the Force
even though:
A. no hostile action has been taken.
B. everyone seems to be smiling.
C. she's a pretty lame excuse for a telepath.
Suddenly the alien ship:
A. opens fire without warning
B. scores a direct hit on the engineering section
C. takes out the shields like they weren't even there
using:
A. a strange weapons we're defenseless against.
B. technology Kirk stole from them ten years ago.
C. phased graviton emissions, which have no real world effect.
Worf suggests:
A. returning fire
B. replacing this forsaken lemon with a real ship
C. asking Starfleet why their flagship is such a bloody loser
but is overruled by Riker, who decides to:
A. hang the ship over the magnetic poles of a nearby planet.
B. grimace like mad.
C. consider another line of work.
Meanwhile, Picard has been:
A. kidnapped by Q
B. brainwashed by the Borg
C. accidentally locked in the Holodeck for the hundredth time
but somehow manages to:
A. escape unscathed.
B. unlock the frozen command codes.
C. straighten his uniform.
Rushing to the bridge, Picard saves the day by:
A. surrendering to the aliens
B. surrendering to the aliens
C. surrendering to the aliens
who immediately:
A. realize the error of their ways
B. realize they're dealing with total wimps
C. wonder how the Federation ever lasted this long
and turn out to be:
A. god-like children.
B. child-like gods.
C. pretty swell guys after all.
The threat over, the Enterprise studies the alien technology and:
A. decide it will take scientists "years to understand all of it".
B. vow never to use any of it on Federation ships.
C. forget about it, since they can't even make their own stuff work.
