on a side note:  I discovered that when visiting the Saucer for the first time, it's possible to take Tifa on the gondola ride if you make sure to avoid Cait Sith until afterward.  And dang... did I ever try to avoid him. 
*cough* the same way I tried to avoid hooking up with the rest of the group in Kalm but Tifa and Red finally stopped me in the zolom cave and made me go back for them.  siiiiigh, killjoys...

I read in one of the Ultimanias that Cloud likes extreme sports, as evidenced by his love for snowboarding. I thought it was an interesting fact for some reason. It makes him so typically male and quite sexy too. I like men who have a sense of daring (what woman doesn't, lol). Now I want to read a fic with them vacationing at Icicle Inn with him in a snowboarding competition.

considering both his youth and his experiences with constant danger and adrenaline, I can imagine extreme sports appealing to Cloud. Besides, he's cool like that without doing it to be cool - lol. And hmmm, it would be fun to have an Icicle Inn story. let me finish my Naruto fic (come on, come on, come on, you can do it, Tam) and maybe then I'll have the open space to concentrate on Cloud and co. ;)

part of Cloud's charm (and problem) is his missing years of development. The little boy is a cute side to see in him.

and - yep :D Sure can. It costs 3GP I believe - which I usually get in the claw machine in the arcade. Then, if you've already got Tifa with you, you just head over to the ride and hop on. A couple new views on the ride but unfortunately no dialogue other than the expected 'look at that' stuff. I still felt good about having done it :D

And Miss Kitsune, if you avoided the entire group, then Cloud wouldn't have any excuse for the long time it takes him to actually act on his feelings for Tifa :P Plus, then it would be too easy to write everything as you wouldn't have to worry about other characters popping in like unwelcome relatives at dinner :P

heh - I was actually seeing how far I could get without having to do the crazy long flashback in Kalm - and for how long I could ditch Aerith. I really thought I was going to get away with it for a minute there too and had NO idea what the game was going to do if I did. But... after warning me with several times of Cloud going 'I feel as if I'm forgetting something...' and me ignoring that, the game finally had Tifa and Red block me in the cave and remind me we had to go back. Couldn't go around them and continue on with the game so I had to go back to Kalm.

Nicely enough, the chocobo I'd had to catch and ride through the swamp to get to the cave in the first place was polite and, since Cloud had asked it to wait like a yellow cab, for some reason it actually had.

Still - I call it my 'missed it by that much!' adventure.

Also found out you can get a helicopter ride in Junon. It's amazing what boredom can discover for you - lol

Chocobo cabs are nice....I suppose yours listened to Cloud since it thought he was one of them ;P

granted, I don't play a lot of video games - at all! But out of the few I have played FFVII is the only one I go to when I want to just kick back and relax and have fun. I've got an old PSP1 and so I get to save a lot of different points in the game. I like to go back to my favorite spots and replay.

In fact, my evil past time lately has been to start at the very beginning of the game, rack up at least another level on my own and then kill off Barret as soon as he forces his way into my 'group' so that I can keep leveling up and steal all the exp points - lol. Sportsmanship? What's that?
